Service Description
This 8 week course is designed to support individuals to understand their nervous system response to stressors and incorporate evidence-based techniques from yoga and psychology to reduce the impact and support healthy emotional regulation. Using current trauma theory, participants will be guided through easy yoga poses, therapeutic activities and reflection to develop an effective toolbox to help cultivate individual resilience and wellbeing. Those interested in attending sessions and accessing rebates, will need a mental health care plan and referral for group sessions to Leah Gould-Anthony, Sage Psychology Clinic. Mental Health Care plan is optional but no rebates provided without it. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Practical information Location: Shellharbour City Yoga, 15-17 College Avenue, Shellharbour City Day/Time: Thursday evening, 5:15pm (105min session) Cost: $70 per session. early bird discount offered, AFTERPAY payment plan available, medicare rebates to be applied after each attended session. Cancellation Policy
This course is based on 10 consecutive weeks and payment is required regardless of attendance. Medicare rebates are only available when participant attends session, and note; a minimum of 3 persons need to attend in order for the medicare rebates are to be paid. Participants are responsible for ensuring payment is made prior to the course commencing or have an agreed arrangement with the facilitators due to the sensitive nature of this group. All participants are expected to commence the group session from weeks 1 -10, however if are unavailable to attend need to contact either Leanne or Leah at least 2 hrs prior to session on the day. Fees not refundable.
